1. Jonathan Taylor

Taylor isn’t anywhere near Swift’s equal as a pass catcher, but he’s superior in every other facet of the game. The Chiefs should be looking for someone who can diversify their running game. That’s why Taylor should be their priority.

He was clearly a prolific running back during his collegiate days at Wisconsin. He carried the ball early and often for the Badgers offense. The Chiefs won’t ask him to carry the ball that often, but he could easily soak up 200 carries at the NFL level.

When he has the ball in his hands he’s an absolute nightmare for opposing defenders. He’s the rare back who can run past and over the opponent. That makes him a great fit for the Chiefs offense in both short yardage and conventional downs.

If Taylor flashed above average ability in the passing game he’d be a lock for Round 1. The Chiefs coaching staff should trust their ability to coach him up in that regard. Adding his toughness to their finesse offense would make it unstoppable. Taylor should be their choice at No. 32 if he’s still available.
