4th round

Anthony Harris was outstanding in his first season as a starter for Minnesota but hits free agency after next season. The Vikes need a plan in place in the event Harris looks for greener pastures and in the fourth round they turn to Jaylon Johnson’s teammate, Julian Blackmon.

Coincidentally, one of Blackmon’s most similar athletic comps is to Harris himself, and that size combined with his aggressive playing style could fit the Vikings’ mold at safety.

Blackmon led the Utes in interceptions (4) in 2019 and Minnesota will hope that playmaking ability translates to the next level. Look for Texas safety Brandon Jones to be another potential target at safety in addition to Blackmon.
