2. At Buffalo Bills

The real turning point of Pittsburgh’s 2019 season came in Week 15 when the Steelers played host to the Buffalo Bills. Pittsburgh entered that game with a 9-4 record and the contest was flexed to Sunday Night Football with the Bills also in the wild card hunt.

The game was a defensive struggle that the Bills ended up winning 17-10 thanks to a late touchdown pass from Josh Allen to Tyler Kroft. Delvin Hodges was abysmal under center for Pittsburgh, throwing four interceptions, including a pair to Tre’Davious White.

The Bills clinched a playoff spot with the victory while the Steelers would never win again, dropping games to the New York Jets and Baltimore Ravens to finish 9-7. The losing streak caused the Steelers to miss the postseason due to tiebreakers, handing the Tennessee Titans the final AFC wild-card spot.

The revenge factor is clear here for the Steelers, who can circle that game with the Bills as the beginning of the end for their 2019 season. Pittsburgh could also use this game for tiebreaker purposes since the Bills figure to be fighting for at least a wild card spot in a more wide-open AFC East.

This game will be of immense interest to the Steelers’ faithful, who will want to see their team exact some revenge against Buffalo. This should also be a good measuring stick game for both sides, each of whom is capable of making some noise in the postseason.
