2nd round

. DL. Tigers . Marlon Davidson. 38. player. 842

It’s sometimes tough to play in the shadow of a player like Derrick Brown but don’t let that make you overlook the potential of Auburn’s Marlon Davidson.

His quotes at the Combine are already legendary and that attitude seems like it would fit in quite nicely with the culture Rhule is trying to instill, especially on defense.

Davidson’s lack of a true position fit may scare off some teams but I think that versatility is what could appeal to the Panthers’ coaching staff as it builds its defense. Davidson can match up well against both the run and the pass, and is capable of playing both inside and outside.

You don’t start four consecutive years in the SEC by accident and that durability and consistency should push Davidson up to the top of round two. If the Panthers pass on Kinlaw in round one, he’s a good fit at this spot.
