1. RB Damien Williams

In 2018, the Chiefs added former Miami Dolphins’ running back Damien Williams in free agency. In four seasons in South Florida, he totaled just 1,210 yards from scrimmage, scored nine touchdowns and also managed a TD reception in the team’s 2016 playoff loss at Pittsburgh.

In 27 regular-season contests with the Chiefs, he’s run for 754 yards and nine scores and caught 53 passes for 373 yards and four TDs. In five postseason contests with Andy Reid’s team since 2018, Williams has started every game, run for at least 100 yards twice and scored a total of 10 touchdowns (6 rushing, 4 receiving).

In Super Bowl LIV, he ran for 104 yards on 17 carries in the team’s 31-20 win. And he reached the end zone as a pass-catcher and runner in the fourth quarter in the comeback victory over the 49ers.

Earlier this year, the Chiefs picked up a $2.3 million option (via Spotrac) on Williams. Despite being in the league for six years, he doesn’t have a lot of wear and tear and his 111 carries in ’19 was easily a career-high. And given the way he performed down the stretch and in the postseason, he is primed for a bigger workload this year.
