If the New York Giants trade out of the No. 4 pick in the NFL Draft, one of these teams might be there to seize the opportunity.

The 2020 NFL Draft is on Thursday and while there haven’t been any trades yet, they’re certainly coming. One team that should be getting their fair share of phone calls is the New York Giants, who are sitting with pick number four.

The Giants have needs in this draft for sure, but they could add some picks by taking calls from quarterback-needy teams looking to move up and nab their next franchise signal caller. Here are some teams that should give Dave Gettleman of the Giants a call.

Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers have been linked with whatever quarterback Miami doesn’t take in most mock drafts, but what kind of draft strategy is that? The Chargers should go after whichever quarterback THEY want and they should trade with the Giants in order to do so.

We’ve heard all offseason that Anthony Lynn and company believe Tyrod Taylor can be the guy, but Taylor turns 31 this summer and is on his fourth NFL team for a reason. He’s a great backup, but the Chargers definitely need to find their next quarterback in the first round and they shouldn’t accept whatever quarterback Miami doesn’t want.

If Los Angeles wants Tua Tagovailoa, then trade with the Giants and go get him. Tagovailoa might be a risky pick whereas Justin Herbert is the safer option, but if Tagovailoa does pan out, he has the ability to be the quarterback of the Chargers for the next 10-15 years.
