Houston Texans: Move up for a wideout

The Texans need to keep working to replace DeAndre Hopkins. The Brandin Cooks deal isn’t enough. That’s why Houston needs to move into the back half of Round 1 to grab Justin Jefferson. He’s the sort of versatile weapon that can thrive playing alongside Deshaun Watson.

Indianapolis Colts: Resist temptation

The Colts gave up their first round pick to bring in DeForest Buckner. They still need to add another weapon at wide receiver in the draft. Fortunately, that can wait until their high second-round pick. Indianapolis needs to stay patient and take the best wideout available to them at No. 34. Moving into Round 1 is too rich for the Colts.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Trade Yannick Ngakoue

The Jaguars will add an impact player at No. 9. The key for them on Day One will be to turn the page on Ngakoue. He might not get them a first rounder on his own, but he should net them valuable draft capital that can be used to fill other needs on the roster. Trading him is crucial for a team that needs to move on with things.

Tennessee Titans: Select Zack Baun

Baun is a perfect fit for the 3-4 defense the Titans like to employ. He may never be an elite pass rusher, but he’s ready to be an above average starter early in his NFL career. Picking him at No. 29 would be great value for Tennessee.
