Pick Analysis. 10. Georgia. Andrew Thomas. player. 53. Scouting Report. OT

Georgia left tackle Andrew Thomas is the absolutely perfect pick for the Cleveland Browns at  No. 10. If the offensive tackle run dips down into this range, they would jump at the chance to take him. Thomas is the safest of the tackle options in this draft, and it’s extremely unlikely that he will be a bust.

Thomas was a three-year starter for the Bulldogs with the ability to play on either side. That said, the Browns need a left tackle not named Chris Hubbard and Thomas would be a starter from the get-go. He is gritty and able to find success even when he makes a mistake or is in a negative situation.

Thomas will never give up on a play and will fight for everything he can get. Some leaning, lunging and inconsistent knee bend in pass pro are the knocks against the left tackle, but that can all be addressed while producing on the NFL gridiron.

Cleveland could realistically have a decade-long starter named Thomas at left tackle once again, and that is truly amazing. A strong offensive line to protect Baker Mayfield and to lead the way for super-star Nick Chubb could mean the Browns will soon compete in the AFC North.
