Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Jerry Jeudy. 12. player. 28. WR. Alabama

The first pick in Las Vegas Raiders team history will be a wide receiver, it’s just a matter of which one. Teams all have different beliefs in what order the top-three receiver are ranked, but Jerry Jeudy seems to be at the top more often than not.

At Alabama, Jeudy was a Biletnikoff Award winner in his sophomore season. He ranked third in the FBS that year with 14 receiving touchdowns along with 1,315 receiving yards. As a junior last year, Jeudy had 77 receptions for 1,163 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Jeudy runs great routes with top-end speed that keeps defenders guessing all game long. Big, fast cornerbacks can give him trouble that leads to drops, but that won’t happen often. Jeudy can take the top off of opposing defenses from the inside or outside and is a true No. 1 wide-out.

For Vegas, Jeudy would step in as that top option, ahead of Zay Jones, Tyrell Williams, Nelson Agholor and Hunter Renfroe.

It’s unclear whether Derek Carr or Marcus Mariota will be the quarterback when the season opens, but no matter who it is that will be a solid wide receiver group. Jeudy would be the deep-ball threat while others would be able to find space elsewhere. He would truly add a new dimension to the Gruden offense.
