52. Scouting Report. Oklahoma. 20. LB. Kenneth Murray. player. Pick Analysis

Kenneth Murray has the versatility to play any linebacker spot, and that could come in handy for the Jacksonville Jaguars. They brought in Joe Schobert to play in the middle through free agency, but defensively a strong-side linebacker is still a need with Myles Jack kicking out to the weak side. It’s not a top-tier need for the Jags, but Murray is a tough talent to pass up.

Last season, Murray had 102 tackles, 17 for a loss, and four sacks as well as four pass breakups in 14 starts. That’s actually a bit of a dip from his 155 tackles as a sophomore, but everything else took a step forward. His game is based on speed, playing sideline-to-sideline and making plays anywhere on the field.

“Recognition of play development and ability to take on blocks are both underdeveloped currently, but a move to weak-side linebacker would put him in position to minimize those concerns and maximize his playmaking talent,” according to Lance Zierlein.

That means Murray would be the perfect fit for Jacksonville’s defense.

Character is not an area of concern with Murray at all either, as he is the son of the preacher and helps his parents raise his three adopted siblings, all of which have special needs. He can be a leader for the Jaguars both on and off the field.
