Away: New York Jets

The New York Jets were another team that was a major disappointment just like the Browns last season. Sam Darnold was knocked out by something nicknamed “the kissing disease.” The team started the season 1-7. They played much better down the stretch, but it was far too late. They actually ended up with a better record than the Browns.

The Jets are still a team with a ton of question marks on the roster. Adam Gase still makes questionable calls as head coach, and they still have Jamison Crowder as their top receiver. The Jets actually didn’t do much during free agency, and they look much worse on paper after building momentum at the end of last season.

Last season, Odell Beckham Jr. was absolutely electric on Monday Night Football in his return to MetLife Stadium. The Browns beat the Jets 23-3, but that was Week 2, the Jets first week without Darnold. This made us feel like the Browns were really turning the corner. This season, they will likely play the Jets during a different time in the season, and this will be a game they can’t lose.

The Jets are a game the Browns should win on paper, and for once, the Browns need to win the games they need to win on paper.
