1. Amari Cooper will catch 100 passes for 1,500+ yards

The Cowboys stepped up paid Cooper like a star wide receiver this offseason. Now it’s time for the talented pass catcher to produce catches and yards in keeping with his new salary.

It’s not that he wasn’t really good in 2019. Lots of receivers in the NFL would kill to catch 79 passes for 1,189 yards. Cooper doesn’t need to be good in 2020 though, he needs to be great.

Fortunately, everything is in place for him to have a career season. The loss of Cobb opens up some more targets to throw his way. Jason Witten’s decision to head to the Raiders also could cause the team to deemphasize the tight end position. If that happens, Prescott will be even more dependent on Cooper and his talented group of wide receivers.

The installation of McCarthy as his head coach should push him to have the best season of his career. He’ll go over 100 catches and 1,500 yards feels like a relatively conservative estimate for his output. Cooper is a legitimate threat to lead the NFL in both categories this season. He’s in line for a truly historic season in Big D.
