3. Kerryon Johnson will rush for 1,000 yards

Stafford wasn’t the only key offensive player who missed eight games due to injury last season. Johnson also failed to play in half of the Lions’ contests in 2019.

Patricia and his offensive coaching staff will be happy to get him back on the field this season. Remember, the Lions want to base their offense around an ability to run the football. Johnson should be able to grind out some quality yardage behind the team’s big, physical offensive line.

Bo Scarbrough will still be in line to get his share of touches, but Johnson should be the unquestioned feature back if he stays healthy. It’s not out of the question that he can find a way to get to 250 carries. That should allow him to easily eclipse the 1,000 yard mark.

Johnson isn’t the most consistent back in the league, but he’s got big play potential on his side. He’ll be a frustrating player for Lions fans and fantasy owners in 2020, but the overall production should be above average.
