Away: Buffalo Bills

In the wake of Tom Brady‘s departure from New England in free agency, the Buffalo Bills are hoping their upward trajectory of the last couple years will continue with a division title and forward progress in the postseason. If the Chargers want to reclaim their place as one of the AFC’s elite, they’re going to have to slow the roll of Josh Allen and the Bills.

The Bills defense is their competitive calling card, but the front line has lost Jordan Phillips. To help balance things, they traded for Stefon Diggs to give them a true top-line pass catcher, but it remains to be seen how Josh Allen can handle expectations like this heading into year three.

For the Chargers, a game like this (and certainly their divisional contests) will show just how much progress they’ve made in repairing their offensive front after signing Bryan Bulaga and trading for Trai Turner. The latter should be an immediate difference maker in the interior, but is it enough for a line that’s struggled seemingly every year for quite some time.
