1. Mitchell Trubisky will beat out Nick Foles

The idea of bringing in a quarterback to replace Trubisky was the right philosophy for the Bears this offseason. The problem is that Foles just isn’t good enough to keep Trubisky on the bench.

Foles will win the battle out of camp, but his limitations on the field are going to become apparent quickly. As such, Nagy and his staff will go back to Trubisky before the team’s hopes of making the playoffs go up in smoke.

Bears fans need to hope that spending an extended period of time on the bench will get Trubisky’s attention. He appears to have the physical tools required to be a decent NFL starter. Tightening up his technique is still possible given his age and inexperience.

Curiously, this prediction isn’t based around Trubisky coming back into the fold and falling flat on his face. The soft nature of this year’s NFC North actually gives him a legitimate shot to come back and serve as the conquering hero. That will ultimately be fool’s gold for a Chicago franchise still working to identify its franchise quarterback, but Trubisky is going to fend off this challenge from Foles.
