3. Marcus Davenport will get 10 sacks

The Saints paid a heavy price to move up and grab Marcus Davenport in the draft. It’s safe to say his production hasn’t matched that price in his two seasons as a professional.

His third year as a pro should be the time for his breakout campaign. The six sacks he notched in 2019 showed that he’s capable of getting to the passer. His consistency is going to catch up to his potential in 2020.

The presence of Cameron Jordan on the other side of the defensive line means he won’t see double-teams very often. His combination of size and speed should allow him to overmatch most tackles that try to block him one-on-one.

The Saints are also going to see a lot of obvious passing downs from their opponents. Their games are going to develop into track meets on a regular basis. Jordan is going to get tons of opportunities to pin his ears back and rush the passer as a result. Pencil Davenport in for a tidy total of 10 sacks when Week 16 concludes.
