3. Joe Burrow, Bengals

The Bengals didn’t have a tough choice to make, but Joe Burrow still provides them excellent value at the No. 1 overall selection. Securing a starting quarterback is still the most valuable thing any franchise can do.

Burrow is a prospect that has both a high floor and ceiling. The sheer brilliance of his final season at LSU is only a glimpse of what he can accomplish at the next level. He should be ready to start for the Bengals right away.

Cincinnati fans should be excited about just how accurate he is with the football. He doesn’t just hit open receivers. He’s the rare signal caller that can truly throw wideouts open at the NFL level. He’ll be a dream for A.J. Green and Tyler Boyd to work with right away.

Fans shouldn’t underestimate just how dangerous he can make the Bengals offense in 2020. With Burrow at the controls, the unit has a real chance to finish as a top 10 NFL offense. Any rookie who can transform a team from a 2-14 record to one of the most interesting teams in the league the next season deserves a ton of hype. The Bengals did the right thing by keeping things simple at the top of the draft. Burrow is going to serve as the face of the franchise for the next decade.
