7 of the best, most filthiest shootout goals in the history of hockey

4. 2011: Mikhail Grabovski‘s spin-o-rama
While Josh Bailey and Ryan Strome’s spin-o-rama’s make this list because of the fact that Martin Brodeur got burned so badly not once but twice, Mikhail Grabovski makes it to the No. 4 spot because of how silky smooth his spin-o-rama attempt was.
As stated before, spin-o-rama’s are hard to pull off. There’s a reason you don’t see them often in a hockey game, and not just because the move is often pretty impractical in most situations in this sport. However, Grabovski’s attempt is as smooth as they come. Unlike Bailey and Strome’s goals, Grabovski does not put on the breaks at all during his goal.
Instead, Grabovski glides across the front of the St. Louis Blues net and pulls off the full 360 by depositing the puck on his forehand up and over goaltender Ty Conklin. Grabovski gets extra points here for how effortless he makes the whole sequence look, even if he’s running out of room to stash the puck into the net.
Had Conklin not fell for the move, he might have been able to stop Grabovski’s actual shot on goal, but instead we got one of the silkiest shootout goals of all time.
