Dallas Cowboys

There may have been some Cowboys fans worried at the prospect of Jerry Jones drafting from his yacht by himself. They needn’t have been concerned. He crushed it.

Jones’ task was made simple in the first round as CeeDee Lamb, arguably the top receiver in the class, fell into his lap with the 17th-overall pick. Lamb will form a terrifying trio with Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup, who each went for over 1,000 yards last year.

Trevon Diggs slots in nicely as the Cowboys’ replacement for Byron Jones and brings length and ball skills to the corner position, where Dallas added more depth in the fourth round with late riser Reggie Robinson, who had three interceptions and 13 pass breakups in his final season at Tulsa.

Third-rounder Neville Gallimore is a raw developmental defensive tackle who should benefit greatly from the tutelage of veteran defensive line coach Jim Tomsula.

Tyler Biadasz could push Joe Looney at center in the wake of Travis Frederick’s retirement and Bradlee Anae gives the Cowboys much-needed depth on the edge after a remarkably productive senior season at Utah that saw him rack up 13 sacks and 14 tackles for loss.

The board fell very kindly for Dallas and allowed them add several prospects who should quickly become contributors for a Cowboys team that has a roster set up to contend in the NFC.
