Scouting Report. Notre Dame. Julian Okwara. Pick Analysis. OLB. 67. player. 819

Julian Okwara had four sacks, two force fumbles and missed the last four games of last season due to a broken leg suffered vs. Duke. Prior to the injury, he was a team captain who was in the middle of a great season that likely would have had him in consideration for the late-first round. At 6-foot-4 and 252-pounds, Okwara has good size for the edge but has the potential to add another 10 pounds of muscle to become better against the run. His brother Romeo played defensive end at Notre Dame and is currently a member of the Lions.

Detroit doubled up on prospects out of Ohio State which is never a bad idea. When in doubt, take the players out of LSU, Alabama, Ohio State and Clemson. Jackson is a good run blocker and should step in as the starting right guard spot left open by Graham Glasgow‘s departure. Jackson has some position versatility with the ability to line up at either guard spot or even center in a pinch.
