Scouting Report. Josiah Deguara. 830. player. Pick Analysis. TE. Cincinnati. 94

What are the Packers doing? After taking a backup for their two Aaron’s in the first two rounds, the Packers get a backup tight end with their third-rounder.

Josiah Deguara is 6-foot-2 and 242 pounds, so he’s built more like a fullback or H-back than a traditional tight end. The Packers have second-year tight end Jace Sternberger expected to make a bigger contribution in 2020 so it remains to be seen what exactly Deguara’s role will be in the offense.

Maybe the Packers think he can line up in the backfield and motion out, flex him out wide and try to find matchups for him to exploit, but I don’t know if this prospect is capable of doing the things the Packers think they may be able to do. Very interesting pick
