Best Pick: Josh Uche, LB, Michigan

Josh Uche is such a versatile player that it almost seems like a certainty he will be a star for the New England Patriots. Bill Belichick just always finds a way to get the most out of these types of players. As a rotational piece, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Uche finish the 2020 season with 5+ sacks, like his former teammate Chase Winovich did for the Patriots a year ago.

When paired with Anfernee Jennings, Uche has the ability to be a true difference maker. He will have to step up with linebackers Kyle Van Noy and Jamie Collins now on different squads.

Worst Pick: Dalton Keene, TE, Virginia Tech

The Patriots reached for Dalton Keene. He doesn’t look like a player that will make an impact right away, and New England needs help at tight end now. Devin Asiasi, taken ahead of Keene, is a day one starter with the ability to block and also catch.

Keene though, is more of an H-back and will be utilized in only passing situations. It seems New England could have found a player with better value at this spot in the third round, but time will tell of course.
