Round 5
Pick Analysis. C. 156. player. Scouting Report. San Diego State. Keith Ismael. 901
The Redskins had a need on the interior of the offensive line and Ismael gives them a backup who can operate at guard as well as center.
Michigan. Khaleke Hudson. player. 811. Scouting Report. LB. 162. Pick Analysis
Hudson is a former safety who is undersized for the linebacker position at 5-foot-11 and 224 pounds. He exploded in the 2019 season, however, racking up 101 total tackles for the Wolverines.
Round 7
Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Arkansas. Kamren Curl. S. 216. player. 844
Curl was a three-year starter in the SEC for Arkansas and boasts the versatility to play cornerback as well as strong safety.
He’ll have a tough path to meaningful snaps at safety, with Sean Davis and Landon Collins the unquestioned starters. Curl showed a nose for the football in his final season, intercepting two passes and forcing a pair of fumbles.
While the majority of the focus will be on Chase Young’s potential impact for the Redskins, their last pick, Smith-Williams, has the athletic gifts to contribute as a rookie.
Durability could be an issue for the former Wolfpack defensive end, however. He suffered season-ending injuries in 2015 and ’16 and played only seven games last season because of a lower-body injury.
At this point in the draft, though, it is worth betting on the physical upside.
