2020 NFL Draft grades: Biggest winners and losers

The 2020 NFL Draft has concluded. What teams are the biggest winners and losers? Here are draft grades for every team.

We are all familiar with Roger Goodell’s basement layout. The NFL commissioner announced each pick from Day one and Day two from his home in the first-ever virtual draft due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Joe Burrow was the first name Goodell called, as the Cincinnati Bengals selected him as No. 1.

Not too many teams ended up reaching for players. In fact, most clubs drafted well. The only two picks that left people scratching their heads were Jordan Love to the Green Bay Packers in Round 1, and the Philadelphia Eagles selecting Jalen Hurts in Round 2.

Now that the draft has concluded, here are the draft grades for all 32 teams.

Baltimore Ravens

When you win 14 games, clinch the No. 1 seed in the NFL, and have the league MVP all in the same season, the future is bright. Although the Ravens did not win the Super Bowl in 2019, general manager Eric DeCosta made sure he drafted players to help get the team that far in 2020.

LSU linebacker Patrick Queen was the first name DeCosta submitted. On Day 2, management gave Jackson two more weapons with Devin Duvernay and J.K. Dobbins, while also adding depth on defense and the offensive line with Malik Harrison and Tyre Phillips.

Grade: A

New York Jets

Joe Douglas nailed his first draft selection for the New York Jets. Waiting it out in Round 1, Douglas nabbed Louisville offensive tackle Mekhi Becton with the 11th overall pick.

Becton, literally and figuratively, is a massive get for the Jets. Desperation is the perfect word to describe the need the Jets have had for offensive line help over the past few years.

Douglas then played it cool again in the second round. Eyeing a receiver, he traded back to obtain another pick and still got Denzel Mims from Baylor.

Mims comes with some concerns, but he has boom potential. Later, Douglas selected safety Ashtyn Davis and edge rusher Jabari Zuniga.

In the fourth, Douglas used three picks on depth on offense, including quarterback James Morgan. Virginia corner Bryce Hall fell to them in the fifth too.

Douglas added athletes and addressed needs early.
