2020 NFL Draft grades: Biggest winners and losers
Philadelphia Eagles
Doug Pederson reached, a lot. Of course, anything can occur, and these players drafted can become stars. But for right now, the team’s 2020 draft is confusing.
Round 1 went to an explosive receiver out of TCU named Jalen Reagor. This was a good pick as the Eagles desperately needed a receiver.
In Round 3, the team took Davion Taylor, a linebacker out of Colorado. Before that, they stunned the league taking Jalen Hurts in Round 2.
Yes, Hurts is a true competitor and great locker room guy. But the Eagles could have used this pick in many more ways, and they should have.
Hurts isn’t going to affect the team that much in the near future.
Pederson made up for it on Day 3, getting defense, offensive line and receiver help.
Still, bizarre choices were made.

Seattle Seahawks
Pete Carroll did not have a strong draft. Surprisingly, he elected to not trade out of the team’s originator position. Round 1, he took linebacker Jordyn Brooks. He has upside, but he went before Patrick Queen.
Defensive end Darrell Taylor was the next choice at 48, and then guard Damien Lewis was taken at 69.
The latter rounds were a mix of offense and defense, rounding out what was a rather uneventful draft for the Seahawks.
Going defense was smart, but the player choices seemed off. However, Carroll and the Seahawks have the ability to coach players up and find stars late in drafts.
