2020 NFL Draft grades: Biggest winners and losers
Chicago Bears
If your a fan of the Bears, you know just how odd drafting has been recently. Trading up, trading picks, and flat out missing on the players selected.
Matt Nagy reminded us just how odd his pick selections are, going with tight end Cole Kmet out of Notre Dame in Round 2. Jaylon Johnson later in that round wasn’t a bad pick.
Kmet is good, but the Bears already have a plethora of tight ends. Too many in fact.
Round 5 was nice, as they added defensive end Trevis Gipson, cornerback Kindle Vildor and receiver Darnell Mooney. However, those are just nice depth pieces.

Green Bay Packers
Under Matt LaFleur during his first year as head coach, the Packers made it to the conference championship game. Even with the loss, the indication was that LaFleur and Aaron Rodgers could pair up to win a Super Bowl.
Entering the draft, the team had two strengths: quarterback and running back. Where did the two first picks go? Quarterback and running back. They did not draft an impact receiver in a receiver dense draft class.
Sure, the team’s first-round pick Jordan Love can become a successful quarterback. But how does that help in 2020 with a Hall of Fame quarterback?
The running back selected, AJ Dillon, can help Rodgers. But this was overkill. They need a receiver badly.
The Packers didn’t hit the mark, and that’s why they are graded so poorly.
