Arizona Cardinals

Kliff Kingsbury had the opportunity to add CeeDee Lamb in the first round. However, Isaiah Simmons out of Clemson was the name he and Steve Keim went with.

Simmons helps anchor the defense. This versatile linebacker can lineup all over the field for the Cardinals. He can defend the pass, make sideline-to-sideline plays, and perhaps even rush the passer at the next level.

Day 2, offensive lineman Josh Jones was the team’s lone pick. The tackle was selected in the third round. Keeping Kyler Murray off his back and giving him time to throw is always a good thing, right?

Buffalo Bills

The Bills did not have a pick in the first round due to the Stefon Diggs’ trade. However, they made up for the lack of a Round 1 pick on the second day.

Iowa defensive end A.J. Epenesa slipped farther than expected and he was there when the Bills got on the clock at pick 54. No, he does not project to be one of the league’s best, but he is a nice rotational player to help deepen a crucial position.

Last year, Devin Singletary was drafted in the third round. This year, the scouting department and front office drafted another running back in Round 3 with Utah power back Zack Moss.

Moss and Singletary will form a nice counter-balance duo of finesse and strength. The roster was already in good shape, so the Bills needed to add depth and they did.

Grade: B+
