The Revolt are heading to All Elite Wrestling and after the reference on “Being the Elite,” these teams stand out as future opponents.

“Go to AEW” is always the phrase thrown about when a WWE roster member shows they are disgruntled with their position in the company.

For majority of the last year, former tag team champions, The Revival, were near the top of the list of wrestlers who could make that jump to the growing All Elite Wrestling. This week’s edition of “Being the Elite” hinted at the idea of their joining AEW. If the Revolt do make that jump, here are three teams that should welcome them.

Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood will have a lot of groups looking forward to facing them soon. When talking about tag team wrestling, the conversation usually begins with the combination of Matt and Nick Jackson, The Young Bucks. Lapsed professional wrestling fans may make the mistake of comparing them to another duo from The Attitude Era, but the Bucks are so much more than that.

For the better part of the last decade, the Bucks have been considered one of the best teams in the world. They have held titles for promotions such as House of Glory, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and New Japan Pro Wrestling. During their run at the top, they were voted the Tag Team of the Year by The Wrestling Observer from 2014 through 2018. While they may have taken a back seat in AEW to elevate the rest of the division, the whole “FTR” gimmick would come full circle by pairing these two teams together.

Then there’s the former champions, SoCal Uncensored. The duo of Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky are possibly as well known as The Young Bucks. While their time at the top is not as exceptional as the Jackson brothers, they do have something the Bucks cannot claim: a reign as the AEW tag team champions. If the Revolt are going to put the rest of the division on notice, the best way to do so is by decimating the inaugural AEW champions.

Speaking of champions, the third team that would be an exciting matchup for the Revolt would be the current AEW tag team champions, Kenny Omega and Adam “Hangman” Page. The combination of Omega and Page have become one of the most enjoyable aspects of AEW content. Before coronavirus brought the wrestling industry to a screeching halt, AEW creative had done an exceptional job turning Page’s character around into one that fans were invested in. When they return to action together, the Revolt should be there as a top contender.

We have seen what Page and Omega can do when paired against the Bucks. There are many that believe the Revolt could give fans a matchup of the same quality. That is the type of tag team action that could main event a pay-per-view.

The Revolt would be a welcome addition to the AEW tag team division. The reference to the duo on Being the Elite is a call back to an online rivalry between them and the Young Bucks. However, the Bucks are not the only team that could be used to welcome the former WWE champions to their new wrestling home.
