New York Giants 2020 NFL schedule: 5 must-win games
4. Away: Chicago Bears
Daniel Jones had a frustrating day last November when these two clubs met in Chicago. He did throw for two scores, but only had 150 passing yards on 21 of 36 attempts.
The Bears defense did the job, because Mitchell Trubisky did what he could to make it hard for the Bears. He was 25-of-41 with 278 yards, one passing and rushing score a piece with two interceptions.
If the Giants had a better defense, they probably would have found a way to win this game. It was there for the taking.
Fast forward to 2020, and the Giants will enter the same venue looking to leave with a win this time. Trubisky might not be the quarterback for the Bears this time around, but new signal caller Nick Foles is a familiar foe for the Giants.
The direction of the Bears remains unclear after this offseason. Are they adding weapons to help Trubisky? Or, are they moving on from him and going with Foles? Who knows, but this would be the perfect time to get a solid road win for a young football team.
Regardless of what the plans on offense for the Bears are, they still have a defense that can play. This is a must-win because it would do a lot for the confidence of the team and Jones.
