Baltimore Ravens. 1. player. 26. Pick Analysis. QB. Lamar Jackson. Scouting Report

This one is so obvious, it’s ridiculous. There is no other choice for No. 1 than Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens have an absolutely stacked team. Their defense might be the best in football, and we all saw what Jackson did running the plus-one offense during his breakout second season in the league. The 2016 Heisman Trophy winner will make it to a Super Bowl.

Of course, the Ravens need to actually win a playoff game with Jackson as their quarterback first. Thus far, Jackson is 0-2 in postseason games, falling at home both times to the Los Angeles Chargers in 2018 and the Tennessee Titans in 2019. Both defenses shut him down, but Jackson is a resilient playmaker who will learn from his postseason mistakes and put them behind him.

No, Jackson doesn’t have to play at an MVP level to even get to a Super Bowl this year. He has so much talent around that even a near-Pro Bowl year would suffice out of the guy. As long as the Ravens don’t turn the ball over and play good defense, the Ravens are on a collision course to face Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs in the 2020 AFC Championship game.

Could Baltimore get the No. 1 seed again next season? Possibly, but we can’t reasonably expect the Ravens to go 14-2 en route to that. But with a 12-4 mark, then that’s totally in play. Saying a guy can win multiple playoff games before he can even win one seems a tad risky, but with a quarterbacking talent the like of Jackson, anything is possible. He can lead the Ravens to Tampa.
