No. 13: Eddie Sutton

Eddie Sutton went from coaching seven years at Tulsa Central High School, to being one of the members of a rare group of college basketball coaches who have amassed 200 wins at multiple different schools. A player at Oklahoma A&M (now State), under another noteworthy coach coming up later on this list, Sutton left a legacy of his own at multiple schools.

Sutton’s impressive tenure as a head coach saw him provide successful stints with both the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Amassing an incredibly impressive 806-326 career record at the college level. He also tacked on 84 wins at the junior college level.

A long list of awards and titles includes three Final Four appearances and regular season and tournament wins in multiple major divisions including the SWC, the SEC, the Big Eight and the Big 12. He was also named the Big 12 Coach of the Year twice while locking down the Big Eight and SEC awards once each as well.

To this day, Sutton’s 806 coaching wins set him up in an elite company, coming in at No. 9 on the all-time list.
