4. The offense will be clicking in Dallas

Early on, the team’s offense under Kellen Moore appeared to be unstoppable. Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott and Amari Cooper were all great in 2019, but the offense still stalled out.

Starting 3-0, the Cowboys scored 30+ in each of those games with 450+ yards of offense. In fact, reaching that mark on the scoreboard was the difference in the team losing and winning.

In each of the team’s eight wins they scored 30 or more points. In each loss, they scored 24 or less. One week you thought they’d score on every possession. Then, the next week, it looked like they’d scratch across 14 points.

Moore is back with McCarthy, which is a good sign. Under Moore, Prescott threw for nearly 5,000 yards and a career-high 30 touchdown throws.

With Moore calling the plays and designing the offense, there was a lot of space down field. Of course, having Elliott bust things open on play action helps mightily too.

This season, without all of the tension of possibly firing a head coach, Moore will have that offense playing far more consistent. Last year he demonstrated just how well he could coordinate an offense, scoring 44+ plus twice and 30+ eight times.

However, Moore was also exposed by some defensive coordinators. The offense had two games of only nine points scored and two other games of 15 or less.

Prescott is back playing for a long-term deal, Elliott will line up behind him, and Cooper is back in the fold. Michael Gallup is also coming off a 1,000-yard season and the team drafted CeeDee Lamb in the first round.

We might see a touchdown scoring, dynamic offense for a full season in Dallas this season.
