3. The Cowboys will be tough to beat at JerryWorld

Prescott and McCarthy will win a lot of football games at AT&T Stadium this season. Here’s the home opponents:

New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers and San Francisco 49ers.

Discussed earlier, the Cowboys have navigated well against divisional opponents. Against the Giants the Cowboys have won six in a row.

They are also 8-2 in their last 10 games against the Redskins, and 4-1 over the last five matchups against the Eagles.

At home, they can sweep the division.

The Cardinals and Falcons will be better teams in 2020. The Steelers and Browns will compete for a playoff spot, and the 49ers will be a Super Bowl contender.

However, winning three games against the NFC East and taking at least three of the above games is likely.

On paper, the two toughest games will be the Steelers and 49ers. Winning against the Cardinals, Falcons and Browns at home is probable.

Of course, this game can always go in another direction and nothing is ever a given in professional sports. But the expectation of winning at least six or more games at home is fair.

In four home games in 2019, the team scored 35 or more points. They went 5-3 in Dallas last season.

Defensively, the Cowboys were not themselves last year. With better form and healthier players, that home record will be a win or two better.
