OLB Terrell Suggs (2003-2018)

The only player on the Ravens’ Mount Rushmore who is still active, Terrell Suggs is well on his way to becoming a future Hall-of-Famer. Baltimore took advantage of a rare high draft pick to take Suggs 10th overall in 2003, and he immediately became a stalwart member of the Ravens’ defense.

Playing next to Ray Lewis certainly helped Suggs, who was named the NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2003. Suggs made seven Pro Bowls with the Ravens as he harassed opposing quarterbacks, racking up 132.5 sacks over his 16-year tenure in Baltimore.

The Ravens got the best out of Suggs in 2011, when he piled up 14 sacks, forced seven fumbles, and recorded 70 tackles on his way to the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year Award. Suggs and the Ravens were denied a title that year after losing to the Patriots in the playoffs but came back with a vengeance in the following season to claim the franchise’s second Super Bowl championship.

Baltimore saw Suggs depart after the 2018 season to sign a one-year deal in Arizona and he received a hero’s welcome in his return to M&T Bank Stadium last season. There is no doubt that Suggs will be added to the Ravens’ Ring of Honor as soon as he officially retires.
