Las Vegas Raiders 2020 schedule release: Games, dates and times
The Raiders are officially off to Las Vegas, and their first season in Sin City features plenty of exciting matchups on the schedule.
After years of playing at the crumbling Coliseum, the Raiders are headed East for some brand new digs. The newly-minted Las Vegas Raiders are set to make their debut in 2020 at Allegiant Stadium, which should be an exciting development for the emerging professional sports scene in Nevada.
The Raiders bring with them an interesting team headlined by one of the league’s most noteworthy coaches in Jon Gruden. Las Vegas’ offense, featuring Derek Carr and Josh Jacobs, also added a potential headliner in the NFL Draft in the form of former Alabama wide receiver Henry Ruggs III.
While scouts may have labeled Ruggs’ Alabama teammate Jerry Jeudy and Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb as better prospects, the one big edge Ruggs has is in the speed department. Ruggs can fly down the field as one of the fastest receivers in football, a fact that would make former Raiders’ owner Al Davis very proud.
The Raiders enter Las Vegas as a Wild Card contender who needs to try and get past the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West. The reigning Super Bowl champs make their first trip to Nevada this season in a game that should attract a ton of national attention.
Other games of note on the Las Vegas slate include matchups with the New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Indianapolis Colts, Buffalo Bills, and New England Patriots. The schedule is certainly manageable so there is a reason for optimism about a potential playoff push during the Raiders’ first season in Las Vegas.
When the full 2020 NFL schedule is released this post will be updated immediately with game dates, times, and broadcast information. In the meantime, let’s take a look at the home and road opponents for the Raiders in 2020.
