New Orleans Saints 2020 schedule release: Games, dates and times
The New Orleans Saints are a bona fide Super Bowl contender this season and they should be tested by a challenging schedule.
The NFC is a challenging conference to navigate these days, but for a while last season it looked like the New Orleans Saints had a great chance to get through it. The Saints were one of the NFL‘s best teams a year ago, going 13-3 to win the NFC South, but had to play on Wild Card weekend after losing tiebreakers.
That extra game was one too many for New Orleans, which got upset by the Minnesota Vikings at home. The Saints’ season was thus cut far too short, denying Drew Brees a chance to win a legacy-altering second Super Bowl.
There was a bit of speculation as to whether or not Brees would return for another season, but he did opt to come back and play in 2020. The Saints have also made some moves to bolster their roster, bringing back Malcolm Jenkins to help the secondary and signing Emmanuel Sanders to fill the hole at the No. 2 receiver position.
The core of New Orleans’ roster is still elite and there is every reason to think the Saints can make a Super Bowl push again in 2020. The division did get much stronger, however, when Tom Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March.
Brady’s two matchups with Brees should be marquee games on the Saints’ schedule this season, which will feature a ton of noteworthy contests. New Orleans also has games against the San Francisco 49ers, Green Bay Packers, Vikings and Kansas City Chiefs as part of one of the toughest schedules in football.
When the full 2020 NFL schedule is released, this post will be updated immediately with game dates, times and broadcast information. In the meantime, let’s take a look at the 2020 home and road opponents for the Saints.
