5. Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles

Some of the nastiest rivalries in football reside in the NFC East, but the division has been in a bit of a down period of late. The New York Giants and Washington Redskins are in the midst of rebuilds, leaving the division battle to the two top dogs of the moment, the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles.

The matchups between Dallas and Philadelphia have heated up over the past few years, but the rivalry has been one-sided. The Cowboys swept the Eagles on their way to an NFC East crown in 2018 with Philadelphia returning the favor last season.

Things figure to get more competitive this season with the Cowboys’ decision to name Mike McCarthy their new head coach. McCarthy is a proven winner who knows how to get his teams to the postseason so Dallas should automatically get more out of its roster than they did in 2019.

The game in Philadelphia is far more intriguing since Lincoln Financial Field is a much more dynamic atmosphere than AT&T Stadium at the moment. Eagles’ fans are not afraid to get loud and intimidate the opposition, which adds that much more heat to the rivalry.

This game will also play a huge role in who wins the NFC East, which gives the game massive stakes. Any time the Eagles and Cowboys match up is must-see TV so it was a lock to make this list.
