NFL schedule 2020: Biggest game for all 32 teams
Philadelphia Eagles: at Green Bay Packers
The NFC East belongs to the Philadelphia Eagles right now simply because they have had the most success in the division of late. The Eagles have advanced to the playoffs three years in a row, but the returns have diminished since winning Super Bowl LII.
Last year’s playoff loss to the Seattle Seahawks does come with a bit of an asterisk, however, since Carson Wentz went out with a concussion in the middle of the game. Josh McCown was forced to finish out that loss, but there is a good chance Wentz could have led the Eagles to victory in a game that their defense played well in.
One big advantage that Philadelphia has is that they have the same coaching staff entering the year, which cannot be said for the other three teams in their division. In a world where offseason prep is significantly shortened due to the coronavirus that gives the Eagles a huge leg up in their own division.
We already know that the Eagles’ games against Dallas will be a big deal, so let’s instead focus on their road trip to Lambeau Field. The Green Bay Packers went all the way to the NFC Championship Game a year ago so this contest is a huge measuring stick for the Eagles.
That game will be important for the Eagles to see where they fall in the NFC pecking order and could also have implications for the playoff seeding scenarios as well. Winning that game could set up Philadelphia for a monster season.
