NFL schedule 2020: Biggest game for all 32 teams
Pittsburgh Steelers: vs. Baltimore Ravens
2019 was definitely a strange year for the Pittsburgh Steelers, who found themselves without their stalwart trio of Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown, and Le’Veon Bell by Week 2. Brown and Bell left in free agency while Roethlisberger underwent elbow surgery.
Pittsburgh was able to remain in contention for a while thanks to a stout defense, but the team’s inability to score points caught up with them by the end of the season. A few critical late-season losses left the Steelers out of the playoffs for the second consecutive year.
Roethlisberger should be back this season, which would offer immediate assistance to JuJu Smith-Schuster and the receiving corps. The defense remains loaded, giving the Steelers an excellent chance at fighting for the AFC North crown.
Doing that means going through the Baltimore Ravens, who went 14-2 a year ago to win the division with ease. The Ravens swept the Steelers during the regular season but Roethlisberger didn’t play in either contest.
The rivalry between the Steelers and Ravens is one of the nastiest in football so those games are already a big deal to begin with. Adding potential playoff stakes to the mix makes the Baltimore matchups the most important games for Pittsburgh this season.
