Game of the Week: Kansas City Chiefs at Baltimore Ravens

The Chiefs and Ravens are the two best teams in football by most measures. They have quarterbacks who are the last two MVPs in Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes.

In his career, Jackson has only lost four games. Twice he’s fallen to the Chiefs. Yet Baltimore hasn’t played Kansas City at M&T Bank Stadium since Jackson was inserted into the lineup, so a chance for revenge at home in the NFL’s best regular-season game? So sweet.

As for the Chiefs, beating the Ravens significantly paves the path towards repeating. Kansas City is likely going to roll in the AFC West. However, with only the top seed in each conference getting a bye week now, beating Baltimore and getting a key tiebreaker is massive in the race for the AFC’s top spot.

This game will be billed as Mahomes against Jackson and rightfully so. However, one could argue it’s also the two best rosters and two elite coaches squaring off in a contest with serious postseason ramifications.
