BYE WEEK: Ravens, Texans, Redskins, Broncos, Cardinals, Steelers

Game of the Week: New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills

If the Bills are going to overtake the Patriots for the AFC East, this is a must-win. Buffalo hasn’t won the division since 1995, back when Andre Reed, Thurman Thomas, Jim Kelly and Bruce Smith were still putting their Hall of Fame resumes together. This is the best chance the Bills have had in quite some time to host a playoff game, and handling New England at home is a necessity.

As for the Patriots, the Bills appear to be their biggest threat. While the Jets and Dolphins have interesting rosters, it’s Buffalo with the top-tier defense and an offense geared to score points consistently — provided Josh Allen avoids turnovers.

We’re not sure who will start under center for the Patriots come Week 1. Still, Bill Belichick will make his team tough to beat simply because it won’t beat itself.
