Final record: 9-7

This is going to be a pivotal year in the AFC East. Tom Brady is gone from the division, and each team made moves that could catapult them into contention. Miami has almost no reason why they can’t put the pieces together and make 2020 a huge year.

A few questions still remain. Will Tua be the starting quarterback over Ryan Fitzpatrick? How will Matt Breida fit in during his first year with the team? Can Brian Flores get this team on the same page long enough to try and take back the AFC East title. If they can, it’d be the first time since 2008 for a team seemingly long overdue for some success.

Miami hasn’t reached the AFC Championship Game since 1992 and hasn’t enjoyed postseason glory in two decades. While it might be another few years for the former to happen and maybe one more for the latter, there’s reason to believe things are coming together on South Beach.

The Dolphins desperately need Tagovailoa to stay healthy and be the player so many believe he’ll become. If that happens, 2020 is a fantastic success regardless of the record.
