Final record: 6-10

When the season comes to an end, the Jets will likely have a final record of 6-10. They could sneak another win to go 7-9, but they could also drop one or two more games too.

The playoffs do not seem likely in 2020 and that shouldn’t be the expectation either. 2020 is all about progress and finding talent to build around.

Joe Douglas appears to have had a very recognizable draft in his first one for the team. He found potential mainstays, role players and depth pieces in every round.

The real focus will be on head coach Adam Gase. Last season was inconsistent, and he left much to be desired. The team went 7-9, but could have potentially been 10-6, and that discrepancy is on the head coach.

Sam Darnold is entering a rather large season too. He has not been healthy in years one and two, and now he has a few more weapons.

Gregg Williams will have to work with young players again this season, which he proved to do well last year. The defense has the potential to be one of the best units in the NFL with Mosley and Adams headlining the group.

Finishing 6-10 and developing the roster is a win in 2020. Expecting to win double-digit games is not realistic, especially when you have to play Russell Wilson, Jimmy Garoppolo, Philip Rivers, Jared Goff, Kyler Murray, Baker Mayfield, Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes.
