Weeks 5-8

54. 20. 55. Final. 17

We see the Philadelphia Eagles going into the matchup for Pennsylvania looking pretty good, but an injury to Carson Wentz has Doug Pederson forced to start Jalen Hurts for the first time in his NFL career. He does fine, but the game plan is super conservative, and the Eagles try a ball-control offense. It keeps the Steelers from scoring a lot, but they can’t stop them completely.

The Steelers hold off the Eagles, and once again we play the “what if” game with Carson Wentz.

Final. 24. 53. 41. 55

Pittsburgh welcomes Myles Garrett for the first time since he stole Mason Rudolph’s helmet and tomahawked him in the head with it. This motivates the Steelers, and it puts unnecessary pressure on the Cleveland Browns. This is a rookie head coach, a quarterback in Baker Mayfield and a team structure that isn’t ready for a week’s worth of media scrutiny.

26. Final. 20. 55. 17

The Steelers are going to get one back on the Ravens after they swept them last season. This season, they take it in Baltimore. Lamar Jackson scores first, rushing in a score on his first drive. After a scoreless rest of the half, the Steelers take the second half opening kickoff all the way to the house.

It’s a rarity in the NFL, but James Washington is able to give us a sight. After that, the Steelers offense comes alive, and they end up hitting a field goal with about 30 seconds left to win the game.

29. 55. 28. 123. Final

This is the game of the week, and probably the game of the month. The Dallas Cowboys and Steelers come into the 2020 season with a lot of questions, and their seasons can go one of two ways. It’s either going to be a season of great memories or one they would like to forget immediately.

These two show their firepower all game, as CeeDee Lamb makes an immediate impact on the game, but Minkah Fitzpatrick eventually moves on to him, which shuts him down. James Connor ends up giving a sucker punch to the Cowboys defense, as he’s the player of the game and scores very late.

Mike Tomlin decides to go for two and he converts, putting the Steelers ahead with 1:45 left in the game.
