3. Houston Texans
On the trade market, the Texans and head coach/general manager Bill O’Brien can’t be ruled out right now. In his dual role, unofficially then finally officially, O’Brien has freely mortgaged future draft picks for talent that can help now.

O’Brien has essentially replaced DeAndre Hopkins with Brandin Cooks, with a side of Randall Cobb in free agency. Cooks contract looks prohibitive at a glance, but a closer look shows the Texans can let him go without consequence next spring. So a win-now window being not so covertly pushed by O’Brien the general manager is there, and is sure to be maintained.
The big contract quarterback Deshaun Watson is in line for clouds things cap wise going forward for Houston. But for 2020 they can free up room for Green’s salary fairly easily in a trade, and (assuming he’s healthy) more ideally replace Hopkins as the No. 1 wide receiver.
