3 National League teams that would benefit most from a DH

With the possible addition of the DH into the National League, what three NL teams would benefit the most?
If there is to be an MLB season in 2020, it would come with a slew of rule changes. One of those changes could be the implementation of the designated hitter to the National League.
The designated hitter has been a staple in the American League since 1973. Pretty much every baseball league aside the National League implements a designated hitter. It is a common occurrence in Minor League games, international games and all the way down to even Little League.
David Ortiz and Edgar Martinez are two of the greatest designated hitters of all time and may not have had the success they did throughout their careers if it was not for the DH. It is an intriguing question of how many careers would have turned out differently if it was not for the designated hitter.
On the flip side, how many players would have had more success if they were able to be a DH? How many weak fielders couldn’t make a career in the National League, but still had pretty strong bats? Also, how many careers could have been extended if players were able to move to DH instead of playing in the field?
All these questions could be answered as soon as this season. If the National League is to adopt the DH in 2020 would it be a one-season experiment, or a permanent change? That remains to be seen, but there will certainly been much debate about it.
Many fans will oppose this proposition, citing it will take many of the strategic aspects out of the game. What about the pinch hitter or the double switch? What about the joys of watching pitchers hit home runs?
But, aside from all that, the positives may outweigh the negatives in this situation. Which NL teams will benefit the most in 2020? Well, let’s take a look.
