NFL quarterback power rankings: Patrick Mahomes leads the way, Patriots need help

Matthew Stafford was off to a solid start to the 2019 NFL season before an injury ended his year in Week 9. At the time, Stafford had thrown for 19 touchdowns against only five interceptions, and once he hit the shelf, the Detroit Lions’ season went with him, as they finished with eight straight losses to close the season.
Stafford will be back healthy in 2020, and when he is on the field, he has always shown the ability to put up big numbers. He has good weapons on the outside, and a revamped running back room, so expect more of the same in terms of statistics for Stafford this season.
Ryan Tannehill took over the reigns from Marcus Mariota midway through the 2019 NFL season and never looked back, leading the team to the AFC Championship Game. Tannehill showcased the skills that made him a top pick of the Miami Dolphins in what seems to be ages ago, and was rewarded with a handsome contract by the Tennessee Titans this offseason.
Tannehill is the kind of quarterback you want to go to war with, and now that he is healthy, he should be able to lead this Titans team back to the playoffs this season. He went 7-3 as the starter, throwing 22 touchdowns against only six interceptions, as he finally looked like a first round talent.
The No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, Kyler Murray burst onto the scene for the Arizona Cardinals last season, earning the AFC’s Offensive Rookie of the Year honors. Though small in stature, Murray plays big-time football, and with added weapons around him this season, he should put up even bigger numbers.
Murray finished his rookie campaign with 20 touchdowns passes and nearly a 65 percent completion rate, while also rushing for 544 yards and four scores. Arizona added DeAndre Hopkins this offseason, and he will team with Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk to give Murray and the Cards one heck of a trio on the outside.
