3. Frank Clark

Clark’s first season with the Chiefs was a mixed bag when it comes to results. He managed to contribute eight sacks in 14 games, but he never developed into the dominant edge rusher that Kansas City fans wanted him to be.

It’s unlikely that Clark is ever going to blossom into that kind of player. He’s better suited to be a secondary piece of a defensive line than a team’s No. 1 option off the edge. Clark has that luxury in Kansas City due to the presence of Chris Jones on the inside.

It’s still crucial that Clark ups his sack production for the Chiefs in 2020. He needs to break double-digits to make the team’s investment in him pay off. Landing somewhere around 12 sacks would go a long way towards strengthening his team’s pass rush.

It’s fair to project some improvement from the 26-year-old defensive end during his second season in Kansas City. Getting better acclimated to his teammates and the team’s defensive scheme should pay dividends for him. A moderate step forward from Clark will help this defense to reprise its performance from a season ago.
