Borussia Dortmund host Schalke at Signal Iduna Park on Sautrday, May 15. Here’s all the info you need to watch the Bundesliga’s return online.

The Bundesliga is back from its pandemic hiatus and returning with a headline matchup: the Revierderby. On Saturday, Borussia Dortmund host Schalke at Signal Iduna Park. Dortmund are second in the table with 51 points, while rivals Schalke are sixth on 37 points.

Borussia Dortmund are four points behind leaders Bayern Munich in the title race as the league resumes. Dortmund have been one of the most thrilling teams to watch in Germany and Europe at large, loaded with attacking talent but leaky at the back. The Black and Yellow have scored 68 goals, the second best mark in the league, while conceding 33, still among the best in the league (6th) but the most conceded of any top-five team.

Dortmund have not lot at home all season, going 9-3-0 at Signal Iduna Park – though it will be strange to watch BVB play without their famous Yellow Wall of fans behind them. If Dortmund want to challenge for the title, they will need to take all three points from their rivals in the first game back.

Schalke have done well to bounce back from a 14th-place finish last season, but it has still been a strange season for David Wagner’s men. Schalke sit in sixth place, on the edge of Europa League qualification, despite a negative goal differential. Schalke have scored 33 goals while conceding 36. American fans will be watching with interest, though, as U.S. men’s national team midfielder Weston McKennie is a regular for Schalke.

While form from before the break can surely be thrown out the window, for what it’s worth Borussia Dortmund had won their last four Bundesliga matches before the hiatus. Schalke on the other hand were struggling, with three draws and two losses in their last five matches before the season came to a halt.
