Tom Brady announced his new supplement, Protect, on Tuesday via Twitter. Let’s agree to be nice and say it didn’t go over well with the masses.

On Tuesday, the new Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback released his latest product through the TB12 line.

Yes, Tom Brady graced us with Protect, an immune system dietary supplement designed to help your body stay healthy. The cost? A meager $44.95 (plus shipping and handling) for 60 capsules.

Of course, the product isn’t talking about fighting off COVID-19. Nobody in their right mind would think that to be the case. However, there are plenty of people not in their right mind.

Brady, in his tweet, might have considered alluding to the fact he isn’t promoting a supplement which can stop the coronavirus from getting to someone.

However, Brady didn’t go that route, instead putting the supplement out there with a link.

People on Twitter, in a shocking turn of events, didn’t take kindly to the product or Brady’s lack of a  disclaimer in these times.

But is the criticism fair?

To an extent, sure. Brady clearly knows there’s a pandemic going on, killing tens of thousands stateside. People are looking for anything to protect themselves and those whom they love, so when Brady launches a supplement designed to help the immune system called … Protect … there should be a note out front letting people know this isn’t for COVID-19.

However, people are also responsible to read and stuff. This is a lost art in the year 2020. If they bothered to do so, they’d realize this is something akin to what you can buy at GMC.
